Justice

The Braided Bridge Community and it’s projects work from the core principle that love is the foundation of justice. Love is always something experienced in relationship, and justice can only be attained through attention to the stakeholders and their relationship to each other and their communities.

Homebridge Connect

East Bay Homebridge Connect is a project of the Braided Bridge Community, in which we practice applying our core principle in a pragmatic way addressing the very difficult situation of homelessness, in which many people are in great need of justice. In East Bay Homebridge Connect we tend to relationship with each other through regular restorative justice circles and we form bonds of housed and unhoused people working creatively together towards a common community in which needs are mutually addressed. In so doing, we hope to foster healing to the extent we can, to right relationships, to witness and speak, and to respect the full dignity of each person and encourage such in others around us. Learn more about it, and join us in this work.

Justice Conversation

Justice Conversation is a project of the Braided Bridge Community in which we explore what justice rooted in love means in our world. We look at justice systems in all forms, from self to family to school and work and organizations, religions, social structures, and yes, also the governmental justice systems and the possibilities and disappointments they hold. We consider restorative life journeys, pathways of professional reforms, institutional reforms, and the nature of our interdependence. Read, listen, and share. Join us in conversation.

Restorative Justice Circles

We presently hold bi-weekly restorative justice circles with those involved in the East Bay Homebridge Connect Project. We are seeking a team to plan and implement regular restorative justice circles for Braided Bridge Community and beyond. If you would like to participate in any way, as a participant or facilitator, please reach out.
